NMP (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone) is a widely used solvent in cathode coating processes due to its high boiling point and low volatility. However, it is expensive and generates VOC emissions if not properly recycled, making recovery systems essential for both cost reduction and environmental compliance in battery manufacturing.

Pengjin Machinery Technology’s advanced NMP recovery system integrates multi-stage condensation, membrane separation, vacuum dehydration, and fractional distillation technologies. This combination allows efficient extraction and purification of NMP from waste gas and liquid streams, achieving ≥99.9% purity and over 97% recovery efficiency.

The condensation section utilizes dual-loop heat exchangers to recover vapor across temperature zones. The vacuum dehydrator rapidly removes water from the NMP mix, while the distillation column uses multi-tray temperature control for purification, with automated impurity discharge.
